Finally the winds have died down and we are movin’ offshore! The Striped Marlin have been ready to eat and our clients are reaping the benefits!
Saturday morning we had friends Robert Pressler, Shawn Offenbacher, Sheryl and Sean Cream were off on El Nuevo with Alex and Jesus 2 fishing offshore on the Pacific side. They had lots of fun on the boat with Sheryl and Sean reeling in the catch of the day, a 150lb Striped Marlin that they fought to the boat for over 1/2 an hour, then released to fight another day.
Next up we had Bart “Dr. Doom” Carey and buddy “Shanus” Peacock in here who said they were going to throw “mad DS’s” at all the Striped Marlin in the sea. If anyone knows what DS is, please fill me in, they would not tell me! They set out for two days in a row fishing on RedRum with Captain Omar and Mate Americo. Saturday, Shanus reeled in a huge Striped Marlin that was around 220 lbs, check out the photo. Sunday, both guys reeled in a Striped Marlin a piece both around 150lbs. They will be back out on Wednesday to catch some more, we wish them luck!

Mark Horning, Heather Burnett, Colleen Rohner and Aaron Kennedy were on the Marlin Queen with Captain Danny and Mate Chito. They had a good day catching 1 Yellowfin Tuna, 1 Yellowtail and releasing a 140 lb Striped Marlin.
Greg and son Ryan Miller decided to do a full day of fishing out on Tantrum with Manuel and Juan. They fished out past the 1150 on the Pacific side. I could tell 13 year old Ryan (he will be 14 in 2 days;) had been fishing before, he was super excited to get out there and reel in a big one, and that he did! Ryan caught and released a 150lb Striped Marlin all by himself AND 2 Yellowtail. Dad Greg reeled in a Yellowtail as well.
A really nice family, the Laborde’s are here on one of our Play and Stay packages and started out their fishing journey with Captain Alex and Mate Jesus on El Nuevo. Tommy and Ann, along with daughters Sarah and Michelle and son John decided to do all inshore fishing the first day and caught 35 Spanish Mackerel and a Yellowtail. They did not keep any of the Spanish Mackerel but said Dad Tommy was going to grill up the Yellowtail for dinner, yummy!
Until Next Time,
Tiffany
