This week has been a pretty slow week, Monday we only had one boat go out for 1/2 a day, Tuesday was boat maintenance and clean-up day, so I figured I would give you guys a weekly wrap up so you would have enough to read!
Monday, Robert Miller and Kavitha Reddy were out on ReelRum for a half day of fishing with Ramon and Juan. They did mainly inshore fishing and caught 1 Grouper, that was around 15lbs.
Wednesday, Bernie Heier and friends, Bill Roper and Bill Roberts went out on Tantrum for a half day. They caught 3 Sierra, which they brought back to have cooked up for dinner.
Mike Almand (AKA Froggy), Mike Clifford and Donald Miner were in with us to do two days of fishing. Wednesday they had a good day out on ReelRum, catching and releasing 2 Striped Marlin. The next day was not so good, as they came home empty handed, but they said they still had a great time. We can’t wait to see them back next time.
Jason Welch, Melissa Baughman and Teresa and Chris Picou headed out for their first of two days fishing Wednesday on EL Nuevo with Alex and Jesus. It was Jason’s Birthday so he was hoping for a big catch! He got his wish, he reeled in a 145 lb Striped Marlin that was about 8.5 feet long. He says they scared another Marlin, but did not get him to the boat. The next day they were at it again, however, they, like our other anglers on Thursday had little luck on the water.
Jason Niemeyer and friend were out on Tantrum with Manuel and Edgar. They said they had an awesome time out on the boat, caught 2 Dorado and released one, because it was a juvenile Dorado. They had their fish vacuum packed and took it back with them to eat on throughout the rest of their week in Cabo.
Richard Miske and his party were out on the Marlin Queen for a full day of fishing with Captain Danny and Mate Chito. Russ Schell caught 150lb Striped Marlin that he wrestled to the boat for about 1/2 an hour. He showed me the picture and it was a nice looking Marlin! He released the ol’ fella to fight another day.
Mike Klein fished out on ReelRum with Ramon and Edgar. He too, was another casualty on the water Thursday. He said it was not for lack of trying by the guys, they were changing up bait, lures, trying different methods, but they just did not have any luck. Maybe next time!
Blake Fannin and his party went out on 50′ Fearless for a full day of fishing. They had good luck out there, catching and releasing 3 Striped Marlin.
Let’s look forward to a weekend full of “catching”, shall we?
Until Next Time,
Tiffany
