Hey everybody! As the weather cools down, the water cools down and that is not such a good thing for abundance of fish like we have been seeing, but we are still catching!
On Sunday we had the Peracha family go out on RedRum with Omar and Noe. They had a good day out there, catching 6 nice sized Dorado. They were back at it on Tuesday, but the fishing slowed some and they only caught one Dorado. They still took home a nice cooler full of fresh Dorado!
Nathan and Dave McKinley headed out on RumRunnin for the day with Jesus 1 & 3. They had a great day, catching 4 Dorado and releasing a 130lb Striped Marlin.
John Kissler and Janet along with Mark and Angelina Cunningham joined forces on a shared charter aboard ReelRum. They had a good day, with each couple catching a Dorado and the boat releasing a Striped Marlin. They had so much fun, they are trying to get back out later this week for another go.
On Monday, the fishing definitely started to slow down, with William Pearson and crew coming back from their 1/2 day trip with one Dorado. I don’t think the Nelson’s aboard Tantrum did any better, however, I did not get a report from those guys.
The catch of the day was from the Fredericks. These folks fished aboard RumRunnin and caught 2 Dorado and released a 140lb Striped Marlin.
Tuesday was not much better, I sure hope things start looking up tomorrow! ReelRum came back from a full day looking for Yellowfin, with Evan Blankenship and Donita and Karrie Damm, coming back empty handed. They lost two Marlin. Hopefully they will have better luck tomorrow as they are supposed to fish for three days…
Adam and Ashley Knutson along with Cody Kiser and Rachel Keirzek were aboard RedRum for a 1/2 day and got skunked……
Dave Harger and wife Kim came back from a full day aboard RumRunnin and said it was a really slow day out there, right as they were about to nod out, the lines zipped and Dave caught a 170lb Striped Marlin. You could not erase the smile he had on his face when he came back to the office! I was happy to hear some good news!
Dale and Stacy Friend along with Tom Taylor went out on El Nuevo also for a 1/2 day. They fared better than the other half day boat by catching a nice Dorado.
Well guys, I sure hope to have some good news to report next time!!
