Hola amigos! As you all know, I have a couple of days off during the week, so you don’t get my normal run down for those days, but Ryan did give me an update on how fishing was the last couple of days. Everyone had to stay out of the wind on the Pacific side, so we were doing mostly inshore fishing. We were catching SkipJack, Spanish Mackerel, Red Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Amberjack and some Dorado. Not too bad!
On Friday, my Monday, the fishing was not too shabby either! Tod and Elizabeth Hynes were out on Tantrum for a full day with Juan and Christian. They enjoyed their day catching tons of Spanish Mackerel, a little Hammerhead Shark and a nice size Dorado.
Steve Botelho and buddy Brando Cline boarded ReelRum with Ramon and Julian for the day. Though there have not been many Marlin to speak of out there, they managed to catch and release the lone Striped Marlin they saw, it was around 140lbs. They alos caught a SkipJack, some Spanish Mackerel and a Dorado.
Carlos Olivares went out for a 1/2 day aboard 19’s Toy after having to come back early yesterday, it was his birthday, so he wanted to give it another shot on Friday. He had a lot of fun catching 12 Skipjack in 4 hours.
Marek, Agnes and Alec Jarzabek opted for a 1/2 day of fishing aboard El Nuevo with Captain Alex and Jesus. They had a lot of fun and caught 3 Spanish Mackerel and 3 SjipJack.
Veteran RedRum Fisherman, Ron Volkmann brought along his family, Cindy and kids Luke and Carley, along with Barry and Donna Kantrowitz. They had a great day of fishing with Luke catching his very first Roosterfish, it was a nice one too!! They missed a couple of Mako sharks, Caught a mountain of Spanisih Mackerel and some SkipJack.
Lastly, we had David Dear and his crew aboard RedRum for a full day. These guys made it all the way out, about 35 miles before sea sickness took over and they had to turn it around for the dock.
