Hola friends! We had a killer week last week, so that one is going to be pretty tough to beat!!! Things slowed down a bit for us this week, for the charters as well as a little on the fishing. We still had a 95% catch rate, but comparing to last week, that is low 😉 It is Thanksgiving this week though and maybe that is why no one is down here fishing because they are all at Granma’s house eating Turkey! I was lucky enough to have my Mom and Dad here to celebrate with me as Thanksgiving is not a Mexican Holiday, it was nice to feel at home with my folks around! We hope you guys all had a great one and we would like to thank all of you who have fished with us and support us on a regular basis. We could not do it without all of our loyal customers and your word of mouth!
Now, down to the reporting! No pictures were sent in this week, so nut much to show you guys as far as catches go, but if you have one for me, send it on down! Dorado catches slowed WAY down this week, toward the end, comparing to last week, but we did pick up some Tuna.
Monday we were still slaying it out there, Robert Dawson and his crew on RedRum released 4 Striped Marlin and boated 4 Yellowfin Tuna. Other boats on Monday, the Egeland group, Sueker and Skarin clan all boated Dorado.
Tuesday was probably a banner day, with Brian Greeney and his crew releasing a Striped Marlin, boating 2 Dorado and 13 Yellowfin aboard El Nuevo with Cappy Alex. ReelRum had some luck to also releasing a Striped Marlin, boating 3 Yellowfin and a Dorado. Jason Scheunhage and crew were happy with that! Returning RedRum client, Mike Brito fared well too, catchung 5 Yellowfin, 3 Dorado and releasing a Striped Marlin. Wednesday the fishing got a little tougher as the fishing is moving farther than 8 – 12 miles away. It can be a long haul to get to the fishing grounds sometimes! Rich Thompson and his crew had the best day on El Nuevo releasing 3 Striped Marlin and boating 3 Tuna. 19’s Toy had 2 Yellowfin and Tantrum 2 Dorado. John Pinarelli on Redrum released a Blue Marlin – they are still here!!! and they boated a Dorado. Our 1/2 day that day was “salado”…. nada. Crew said they tried four different techniques, still nada. Thursday was not too shabby all of our boats boated some Yellowfin and RedRum released a Striped Marlin. The Mclaren’s were pretty happy that his boat released a Marlin! The weekend was quiet as we only had a few boats out. The Jurgens caught and released 2 Striped Malrin on a 1/2 day trip with the boys on Tantrum Friday, the Solanos also did a 1/2 day on Friday and boated a couple of Dorado. Im missing a couple of boats I know from the weekend, but it was the first Sunday in a while I was able to Roll over at 4:45AM and go back to sleep because we had no charters! It is nice to do that every now and then, BUT, that does not mean you should not be booking your charters right now to Cabo!
Fishing is still good! Still some Blue Marlin around and you can’t beat the weather this time of year!
See y’all soon!
