Hola friends!!! Not a whole lot to report on this week. I know it was Back to School for all of our American compadres and lot’s of people were just not vacationing this week. Probably a good thing! Hurricane Marie had our Port shut down the beginning of the week and RedRum took an annual “employee day” on Wednesday so none of us were out fishing. We were however, zipping! We all headed over to Wild Canyon and had a fun day of zipping, eating, team building and even Captain Gaba got busy on the bungee swing…..you can see his feet, well they were moving like he was walking stairs on the freefall LOL!! He wanted to back down but said he knew the guys would never let him live it down! Great job Gaba! Can you see your favorite crew in the photos? Well, I hope you guys enjoyed our photos! Now on to talk about the little bit of fishing that went on this week. Charles Oge, veteran RedRum angler was out with us on Thursday with Captain Omar. They said the Marlin were not hungry but they did catch 6 Dorado and a Yellowfin Tuna. Same thing on Friday as far as the Marlin went for Natasha Harris and her family. They caught a couple of Dorado. We wish the best to Natasha and her family as they are expecting twin boys!! The other group out on Friday was Jonathan Mendenhall and crew, they actually did get a billfish to bite, reeled in one Sailfish.
Saturday we picked up a little with Sean Hitchcock and his crew landing 10 Dorado. Micheal Sarodsy and his party were fishing for 2 days on El Nuevo, caught 11 Dorado and Sailfish on Saturday and today, Sunday reeled in a few Dorado and a bunch of Bonita. Shawn Jordan and his crew had an excellent couple of days aboard RumRunnin with the Jesus’s, reeled in 8 Dorado a bonita and released a Marlin on Saturday and more Dorado and another Striped Marlin on Sunday. Bryan and Heidi Morre fished out on RedRum with Omar and released a nice 160lb Stripey and boated 4 Dorado. Chris Aspra and family had a great day on Big Papi and reeled in a Striped Marlin as well. Tracy Vasquez who is back with us for a 2nd time, fished with John Gabriel aboard Reelrum and they caught some Dorado and Bonita. Finally we had friend Lauren Franco who has been a RedRum angler for years fishing aboard her fave boat, Tantrum with Captain Juan and she caught 5 Dorado, all but 2 were released.
Well, hopefully we will continue to pick up this week and the storms will stay FAR from Cabo – we will let you know!
Until next time, thank you for reading!
