About Us

Our Team!

Owner / Chief Experience Operator

Toby was born and raised in northern British Columbia by a single father who taught him to fish and to respect the outdoors. His path to Cabo was a little circuitous and involved joining and serving in the US Army as an Infantryman for a good portion of his adult life. He is a highly decorated combat veteran who has spent more than a decade running non-profits committed to “Giving Back to those who Gave”. Toby’s passion for taking care of fellow veterans eventually led him to co-hosting a fishing event with local businesses. When one of those businesses came up for sale, Toby put together a team to purchase REDRUM Sportfishing and is now living out his dream of being a professional in the fishing industry. Of course, if you ask Toby he will tell you he is not in the “Fishing Business” but actually in the “Good Memory Business” and hopes to become the Chief Memory Officer of this growing company.

Redrum Cabo
Cabo fishing at its best
Sportfishing in Los Cabos

Our history

Redrum traces its roots back to the late 1980’s when a man named John Donovan began visiting and fishing the waters around Cabo San Lucas. He saw a need for a reliable, fishing charter service and began building the Redrum fleet. From rather humble beginnings, John grew Redrum into the most reliable and talented charter service in Los Cabos.

Fast forwarding to 2014, John, a retired U.S. Marine, began to look for a Charity committed to helping veterans. John wanted to share his success and to take deserving veterans on dream fishing adventures with Redrum. As fate would have it, a decorated Army veteran named Toby Nunn was running the ideal charity for John’s plan. Unsurprisingly, the two hit it off immediately.

After several years of partnering with Toby on charitable endeavors, John knew it was time to hand over the reins of Redrum. And now, Toby is the man at Redrum’s helm.

The future of the company is in good hands. Toby’s commitment to creating great and lasting memories for our clients will drive the company forward for years to come. The fleet is looking better than ever before. The team is stronger than ever before. And Redrum’s place at the top of all charter businesses in Los Cabos is more secure than ever.
