Cabo Fishing Report – August 1st-10th, 2018
Cabo fishing in July can be hit or miss! We are on our way out of our summer season, and onto our winter fishing. We have had some great luck with our Blue Marlin coming in this past few weeks and sticking around for some action!!
Our water temperature is in the mid to high 80’s, just perfect for a solid Striped Marlin, and Blue Marlin bite! The Striped Marlin ranging in the 90-150 lbs. The Blue Marlin bite has been consistent, with most fish ranging in the 190-300 lbs range.
Most of our bill fish are in the Sea of Cortez side, we have blue water and perfect temps, with the Pacific side have blue water but a few degrees colder.
YellowFin tuna is still holding strong! Most fish being in the “football” range, but if you want to put the work in, a bigger Tuna is definitely a possibility and they are out there. We are finding our tuna on both the pacific side and Sea of Cortez side schooling up with bait and porpoise.
The Dorado picked up in the past month, with some big bulls coming through! They are staying in the warmer water, and we hope to see some growing numbers!
Wahoo has been few and far between, but should pick up as the water gets warmer. For some inshore fishing, Roosters and Jacks are killing it! Most Rooster fish being in the 20-50 pound range! They are a fun fighting fish, and definitely a trophy.
Our season is gearing up as we head into our winter months, book your trip today before its too late!!
