Cabo San Lucas Fish Report – Dec. 15 – 21
It is getting closer to Christmas!! Temperatures are dropping, but the good thing is, the water temp is holding steady! We are still catching tons of Dorado, some Striped Marlin, a few Wahoo and even some Sierra and Roosters.
Tommy Moore and his gang frm Goodwill International enjoyed another year on one of our Yachts. Tommy was a little disappointed in his trip since last year the caught 12 Striped Marlin! This year they still caught tons of Dorado though and Tommy hooked this Yellofin Tuna blindly on the troll. Greg Page was back with us this year, brought his son Daniel for the first time though. They had a good trip, releasing a Striped Marlin and boating 2 Dorado the first day, day 2 they filled up their cooler, catching 9, the smallest of which were released! Gordon Barough and Jack Van Noort were back with us for 4 days on RumRunnin along wiht their buddy Ken Markison – my guess is Ken will be back! In 4 days of fishing they caught 29 Dorado and 5 Wahoo. They had an entire freezer just for them in the office! They bought 3 fish boxes and had a cooler on hand to get their fish home! Wednesday Bill Hueffner and his fam hit the water on 19’s Toy. They had tons of fun catching lots of Dorado! Check out some pics of their day!! Wednesday turned out to be a nice day for Dorado for the majority of our boats. Robert Marshall and his crew upgraded to our 35′ Cabo 19’s Toy for their day on Thursday. They caught 7 Dorado a Wahoo and released a Striped Marlin. Great day for those guys! Larry Halgren was out by himself on Redrum, caught 2 dorado, but hooked like 6 others. The Edmonstone group were back with us this year after a hiatus from RedRum for a few years! They caught their limit in Dorado on board El Nuevo and their 2 sons, 7 & 9 year olds, had a blast! Roger Stern and crew had an awesome day on El Nuevo with Captaqin Alex and Charlie on Friday. They boated 10 Dorado and released a Striped MArlin. Father and son team Chris and Griffin Hall had lots of fun on ReelRum also catching their limit in Dorado. On Sunday it did slow down a bit, maybe because the water temp has finally fallen a few degrees, but nothing too drastic!! Carmelo Quetell brought along a buddy for fishing on ReelRum on Sunday. They released a Marlin and caught 3 Dorado, of which, Carmelo wanted to donate to “Feeding Los Cabos Kids”. Thanks so much Quetell, these kids will be eating some nice fish tacos 🙂 Dov Pinker and his young son were able to reel in 2 Dorado on their trip aboard Tantrum. David Adshade and his crew of 8 folks on 19’s Toy did not fair badly with 2 Dorado, 2 Bonita and 3 Sierra – or Spanish Mackeral…
That about wraps it up for this week folks! The weather is absolutely beautiful in Cabo, the fish are biting and we are just waiting for YOU! Have you booked your flight yet?
