Cabo San Lucas Fish Report – July 8 – 14th

The port was closed this Monday due to a storm front that amounted to nothing and just produced a little rain and some choppy seas. The fishing on Tuesday was awesome for the Bill fish bite with most boats releasing 2 or more Striped Marlin.

Chip Bean, veteran RedRUm angler brought along his family and they had the best day, releasing 5 Striped Marlin in all.

James Cameron and Pat Malloy were the lone anglers that caught a Dorado, it was a large one!

Norm Leger and his crew had an amazing day releasing 3 Striped Marlin aboard RumRunnin as did Dan Pierce and Judy Hart also releasing 3 Striped Marlin and boating a Dorado aboard one of our partner boats.

Mike Petrilla and Kate Gardner killed it out there, releasing 4 Striped Marlin. Check out each one of them with their own Stiper. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA The Fossetts and friends fished on one of our partner boats as well and released a couple of Striped Marlin.

Wednesday was a bit of a slow downin the Billfish department, but we did see some Dorado and Yellowfin!

The Okleberry’s boated 2 Yellowfin Tuna as did Skip and Linda Bayro, who also released a Striped Marlin which was nice for Skips 55th birthday! Happy Birthday Skip!!

Paul and Donna Fiorresso fished aboard RedRUm and caught a Striped Marlin and a Dorado.

The Swathouts and Harrisins had a great day aboard RumRunnin releasing 2 Striped Marlin and boating 2 Yellowfin Tuna.

The Hartle’s fished on one of our partner boats and caught a Dorado and 7 Yellowfin Tuna.

Lauren and Zach fished on Tantrum for two days and released a couple of Striped Marlin.

Jash Samp and crew had a great day fishing with Captain Antonio Thursday on one of our partner boats and released 2 Striped Marlin.

Several of our boats caught and released a Striped Marlin on Thursday, TOm Lindsay and his crew aboard RedRum, The Bruner fam aboard RumRUnnin, The low family on ReelRum and Jeff Miller and crew aboard one of our partner 33′ boats.

Craig Dickman and crew caught a nice Dorado on board El Nuevo and Jim Simmons and his party also caught a Dorado along with a Yellowfin Tuna and a Striped Marlin aboard 19’s Toy.

Friday proved to be a little slower with two of 6 boats returning empty – handed.

Though the Creekmores and Senhulls who fished on the Marlin Queen had some luck releasing 2 Striped Marlin and boating a Yellowfin and Adam and Suzanne Terry who were here on their honeymoon also released 2 Striped Marlin.

David Cobb, veteran RedRUm anglers and his buddies, the Jones’s fished aboard Nuevo for the day and they caught a Yellowfin Tuna.

The Houchin Crew and friends fished aboard 19’s Toy on Friday and had a good day, catching 2 Dorado and releasing a Striped Marlin.

Saturday shaped up to be a better day with The Malloy’s on 19’s Toy releasing 4 Striped Marlin, Lori Mercer and crew on ReelRum releasing 2 and catching a Dorado and Charlotte Dahl and friend catching 2 Yellowfin, 2 Dorado and a Striped Marlin. Kieran Sanchez and his family also had a lot of fun, catching 3 Dorado and a Yellowfin Tuna.

Lastly on Saturday we had the Hepplers, father and son team who fished for 3 days with us. They started off Saturday catching and releasing a Striped Marlin, Greg’s 1st! Sunday, they really out did themselves, catching and releasing 3 Striped Marlin, both days aboard RumRunnin with the Jesus’s.

Also, we had Dan Chomko, Debbie Quinn and David Kralovetz on board Tantrum and they caught a HUGE Dorado! Check out David in the photo!CHOMKO

The Fossetts were back at it again, with the Millers and Sharps this time. They fished on the MQ and caught 4 Dorado, 1 Yellowfin and released 2 Striped Marlin.

Craig Renfro and his crew had a great day aboard 19’s Toy catching 2 Dorado and releasing a Sailfish and 2 Striped Marlin.

The Castanon family had a great day aboard El Nuevo with Alex and Jesus, releasing 2 Striped MArlin.
