Cabo San Lucas Fish Report – March 11-12

Finally! We found some Yellowfin again!!

Brandon, Anthony and James Bachner along with Lindsay Felldir boarded Tantrum for a 1/2 day trip with Juan and Christian. They had a great 5 hour trip, boating 6 Yellowfin Tuna.

Gary Gordon and crew went out for their first day of fishing aboard ReelRum. They caught 4 Dorado and a Yellowfin Tuna.

Kyle Peck, Celeste and Daniel boarded RumRunnin for the day. These guys had the catch of the day, releasing 3 Striped Marlin, 2 of which they had on at once a 35 lb Dorado and they had a Mako Shark get away.

Jared, Jordan and Jay Steffens boarded El Nuevo RedRum for the day. Jay caught and released a nice 140lb Striped Marlin and they caught 2 nice sized Dorado.

James Russell and his crew were back at it for a second day. This time, they did not fare so well. Captain Omar said the boats around them were catching, but they just could not get a bite. I hated to see these guys go back empty handed.

We also had Doug Masterson and a group of his golfing buddies aboard two of our 35′ Cabos. They did not have much luck out their either, only catching a Dorado between them, but they said they had a good time nonetheless.

Mark and Loreen Gastineau were out with us on Tantrum on Tuesday. They decided to test out the Tuna bite and got lucky! They caught 12 Yellowfin, brought back 10.

Chelsea Porter and her friends boarded El Nuevo for a 1/2 day of fishing. They joined Tantrum to the pod of Tuna and caught around 25.

Wade and Joan Engebretsen went out on RumRUnnin for a full day looking for Marlin. Though the Jesus’s had an awesome day on Monday with the marlin, they could not pull out the same fate for the Engebretsens. They came back sans tropies.

Sean Ashley and his son Ian went out for their first day of fishing with us aboard ReelRum. They had a great day boating 10 Yellowfin Tuna.

The Horowitz clan boarded Colleens Magic for the day and had a great time with Captain Chary and Antonio. They caught some skip jack and a couple of nice size Dorado.

Last but not least we had Matt Scott and Taylor Stebbins out for the day with Captain Omar on RedRum. After having a couple of bad days on the water, Omar was determined to come back with fish! These guys really wanted a Marlin and Omar and Mate Noe finally got one on around 2pm. Scott and Taylor reeled it to the boat and released it. They got back to the dock a little later than usual and it was definitely worth the wait!
