Cabo San Lucas Fish Report March 31 – April 6
Hola amigos! Still the same issue this week with the 1/2 day boats, but boy did the Marlin bite pick up this week! Most of our boats headed out to the Herradure, 95 bank or 1150 on the Cortez side for the Marlin. Looks like the warmer water is pushing in as well, as more boats were catching some Dorado this week, a couple of them nice sized!
On the inshore we had most of the same, a lot of small fish still being caught, Spanish Mackerel, Bonita, Jack crevalle and so on.
Wednesday is when the Striped Marlin bite really picked up with Dayne Larsen and his family releasing 3 on the 19’s Toy with Captain Gaba. Kris Hill and gang released 2 that day as well on board ReelRum with Ramon and Julian. I could not keep Linsey Herrera’s pic from see ing the light of day, she caught her first on board with Captain Juan and Humberto on Tantrum, boy was she thrilled!!
Friday raised the bar a bit with 5 of our boats releasing 13 Striped Marlin in all, Big Papi leading the way releasing 4. John Orlando and his crew were pretty excited about their catch!
I must say though Sunday was the day you wanted to be out there as 5 of our boats out there caught and released a total of 15 Striped Marlin, one of those was even a 1/2 day boat!! Jeremy Carroll and his crew upgraded to a full day on the RumRunnin with the Jesus’s. They were glad they did as their group released a total of 4! Congrats guys! Let’s hope this Marlin party keeps on Rockin!!
Lot’s of happy anglers this week. We LOVE it when that happens.
Thanks for reading.
