Cabo San Lucas Fish Report – May 20 & 21

Well, we are still going a ways out looking for Marlin and Dorado, but right here on the inshore around the lighthouse Pacific side, we are seeing great results!

Brian and Leann Prins fished a full day aboard Tantrum and had a lot of luck by the lighthouse catching 1 Roosterfish that was around 40lbs, a Dorado, 7 Spanish Mackerel and 2 SkipJack. Check out their Rooster!!Brian & Leann Prins

Steve Andrews and his crew of golfers almost made it a full day on Nuevo before heading back out to the golf course. They caught a Dorado.

Ryan and Hilary Leifheit veteran RedRum fishermen who ALWAYS catch a big Blue Marlin when they go out with us, or at least a Striped, fished aboard RumRUnnin for a full day and did not catch one 🙁 They said that is the first time that has EVER happened to them! They really are lucky anglers and always go with the same crew. They will be back at it Thursday and I sure hope things turn around for them!!

John Gouse and his family fished aboard Big Papi for a full day and Steve McKinley caught a nice 98″ 190lb Striped Marlin.

Tuesday was an awesome day of fishing out by the lighthouse for our boats that were not after Marlin.

Calen and Haylie Shearer, who have fished with us before boarded El Nuevo with friends Justin and Sandra. They had an awesome day, catching 8 Yellowtail, 15 Spanish Mackerel and 10 Bonita.

Dave MacPhail and his crew boarded Tantrum for a 1/2 day trip and caught 9 Yellowtail, 1 Roosterfish and 4 SkipJack.

Deny Dotson was back fishing with us along with Ronella, Michelle and Mike. They too, had an amazing 1/2 day on the inshore catching a nice plethora of fish. They caught 5 Yellowtail, 18 Spanish Mackerel, 10 Bonitos, 1 AmberJack and a Needlefish. They had tons of fun aboard RumRunnin weith the Jesus’s!!

Mark Shaw and Frankie Delahoz shared a charter with Michael and Kelley Gaubatz. They fished for a full day aboard RedRum. They caught a Striped Marlin early in the day, the guys stayed out extra long just to try to get one for the other couple, but no luck!

We had our buddy Norman Johnson back with us aboard Colleen’s Magic for the day. Him and his party also caught and released a Striped Marlin.

Thanks for reading my report guys! I will be on a 1 week hiatus, I am going on vacation to Georgia, of all places to see my family!! I’ll be back next week. Until then, TIGHT LINES!! 🙂
