Cabo San Lucas Fish Report – September 15
We are hoping to have a great day of fishing after the port was closed for two days due to a Tropical Storm on the Pacific. The fishing along the inshore is not good due to all the bottom dirt being kicked up from the storm, so hopefully a little further out we will get lucky.
Michael Whittaker and buddies (IF I could read their names I would tell you who they were 🙂 went out on RedRum with Omar & Americo. They had an awesome day on the water, catching & releasing 2 Marlin, catching 2 Dorado and a Yellowfin. They were fishing along with some buddies on RumRunnin, Randy Reid, John Oliver and Ralph Romero. These guys had lots of fun and reeled in 6 nice Yellowfin.
Scott and Sean Watson along with Cameron Copelin were here for their first of two days on the water. They had an awesome day with Sean catching a 225lb Striped Marlin. They also caught and released another Stripe and a Sailfish. So, each guy caught a billfish! They also caught a Dorado.
Jeremy Evans was in for his Bachelor party and boarded Colleens Magic with buddies Kempe Shelton, Zac and Colby Lewis, Brad Schafer, William Kaffie and John Henry Kroeger. They had a good day with William catching a 90lb Sailfish and releasing it, a Dorado, 2 Yellowfin and 6 Bonita.
Sandy Sharpe booked a trip for her hubby, Victor and their daughters, Marie Sharpe and Rachel Bodell along with her hubby Jordan Bodell. Victors 60th birthday is today and he had an awesome day on the water catching a 135lb Striped Marlin, Jordan also caught a Striped Marlin. They also caught a Yellowfin and 2 Dorado. Happy Birthday Victor!!
David and Yome Gokool headed out on ReelRum for a 1/2 day with Ramon and Juan. Looks like after the storm, the fishing was a little further out, but their luck was not all bad as they caught a nice sized Dorado.
Gary Rafferty, David and Brian Hayzlett and Merritt Hopper opted for a 1/2 day as well and headed out to Los Arcos for some fishing aboard one of our partner boats, Fish Tales. They had an exceptional 5 hours on the water, catching and releasing a Striped Marlin, 1 Yellowfin Tuna, a Dorado and 7 Bonita.
Lastly, we had Diane Freeman and her crew aboard the 50′ Viking Fearless with Captain Benito. They were ready to have a lot of fun out there after having to switch their day due to the in-climate weather. They had 2 Sailfish on the line, but lost them and they boated two nice sized Dorado.
