Cabo San Lucas Fish Report – Weekend Update

It has been cold in Cabo this weekend, but thank goodness it is not scaring away the fish!!

Friday, we had two guys on a shared charter, Adam Cortese and Gary Dischner. They fished on ReelRum with Captain Ramon and Mate Julian. They had a lot of fun and caught 4 nice sized Dorado and a SkipJack.

David McArthur and his crew fished on RedRum for the day with Omar and Noe. They did not have tons of luck, but they did catch a Dorado, one Dorado they were reeling in and it got eaten by a sea lion. They did have a great time though.

Mike Rappaport and his crew were in Cabo for business, but managed to squeeze in some deep sea fishing. They left the dock later in the day, sometimes it is a harder start when you leave really late, but they still managed to catch a good sized Striped Marlin.

This Saturday, we really started seeing the Yellowfin! Carey Pinkelman and Yvonne Parsons boarded RumRunnin for the day. They said it was pretty rough out there, but came back with 10 Yellowfin Tuna and 3 Dorado.

Bill Tutton, Niall Armstrong and Ramon Fuentes headed out on RedRum with Omar and Noe for the day. They had a great day catching a Dorado, 12 Yellowfin Tuna and releasing a 140lb Striped Marlin.

Jim Beyers booked a trip that included the Olivas family and Esteban Bravo and Patty Penrose. These guys had an awesome day aboard EL Nuevo with Alex and Jesus catching 10 Yellowfin, 3 Dorado and Andrea catching and releasing a 140lb Striped Marlin, her first ever!

Jennifer and Jim Phelps started the first of 5 days fishing with us aboard ReelRum Saturday. Jennifer was ecstatic to have caught her first ever Malin, a Striped that took her about 1 hour and 15 minutes to reel in, I think hubby gave her a little help there in the end. Not too much though! They also caught 4 Dorado. Jim was back on Sunday to look for some Roosterfish on the inshore. He did not have any luck with the Roosters, but caught 15 Spanish Mackerel, 2 Yellowfin, one of which got away, and three Dorado.

Howard Milton and buddies Keith Wilson and Kirk Miles did a 1/2 day aboard Rumrunnin. They had a nice day boating 6 Yellowfin Tuna.

That is all for now amigos! Thanks for reading.
