RedRum Sportfishing Fish Report – 9/1 – 9/7
Hola amigos! Been a crazy week here in Cabo. After last week of the port closure with hurricane Marie, this week was Norbert that kept us from fishing a few days. It is that time of year! I hope we get a little break after this one though!
The beginning of the week we had Tracy Vasquez and Ben Gabriel out on ReelRum for a second time, they caught a bunch of Triggerfish on the inshore, some Bonita and landed a nice Sailfish. The Kablonsky crew had a great day out on Never Give Up (formerly known as the Marlin Queen) they caught a nice Striped Marlin and a bonita. Brett Watts and his crew who have fished with us before were out for a 2 day excursion and caught 3 Billfish, 7 Dorado and 3 Yellowfin Tuna. They had a good week! Kris Winter and her crew enjoyed a 1/2 day onboard ReelRum on Tuesday and reeled in a nice Sailfish. Heidi and Bryan Moore were back at it after catching a nice Striped Marlin and 4 Dorado on Sunday, they caught a nice Wahoo Tuesday. Check out proud Heidi in the photo! Friend Lauren Franco who has fished with RedRum for years was back at it this week too. She was out with FIL Wednesday and landed some nice Dorado, then on Saturday, after the storm went looking for Tuna. No luck there unfortunately, but she will be back at it in no time! Mark Fingal and crew waited out the storm to finally fish Saturday morning on RedRum. They caught some Dorado as did most boats the day after the storm as the Dorado like the chop! Sunday was a little slower, our 1/2 day boat caught a Yellowfin and a Bonita, our other 2, a Striped Marlin a piece and the last boat, nada…. Well, that is fishin’ folks!
Let’s do a little fish dance for great weather next week!!
Until then, Thanks for reading!
