If you caught some fish and you would like to bring it with you, no problemo!
The boat crew will take it (and you) to the Marina Fillet Station. The cost is between $3-$5 USD a fish. You can take the fish with you and bring it to the restaurant of your choice or cook it up yourself.
If you want to bring the fish back to the States, you bring the fish back to our office and we vacuum seal and freeze it at no additional cost. To bring the fish on the airplane, it has to be fully frozen and in an airline approved box or a cooler. Airline approved boxes are available for purchase at our office.
A good starting point for a Fishing Charter is 10%, however in many cases, with multiple fish caught, the average effort is higher and deserving of more.
There is always something to catch here in Cabo, it just depends on what you’re looking for.
Take a look at our Fishing Calendar below to see what is in season throughout the year.
We do not have a program to match anglers that are looking to share a boat. If you would like to find someone to split the cost, our recommendation would be to ask around where you are staying.
Yes, we recommend booking a half day. You will depart when you get here, usually around 8:30 am. You will be back at the marina at around 1:30 pm. You can come back earlier depending on the time you have to be back.
If you would like to talk to a member of Team RedRum, we would be happy to answer any questions you have. You can reach us from the US at 760-481-7667 or while in Cabo San Lucas at our local number 624-172-0085. The marlin was a bonus for sure. Captain Gabo (I hope I got that right) and Pancho were badass. Will be booking with them again.
6 de June de 2022We had such a fantastic day. Toby went above and beyond in accommodating us and I can't recommend them enough. We had only half a day available in... read more Cabo to fish and spend time on the water. We all caught fish and the captain and first mate were first class. The boat and all the equipment were top notch and the drinks were plentiful.
21 de September de 2022We booked 3 days of fishing on the Red Rum. We have fished Cabo many times so we thought we knew what to expect. What we were impressed... read more with was the smooth operation of the Red Rum Team. From the reservation process with Tiffany to the morning of with Toby to the best crew I have fished with (Omar and Pedro) everyone was courteous, professional and put us on FISH!!!! Tiffany even arranged for us to get tested at the office when USA started requiring them 24 hours before departure. Vacuum sealing the fish after getting them filleted was a very nice touch.

We have fished with Redrum several times and we highly recommend them. Also a huge shoutout to Tiffany for booking us a boat the first day after marina being closed for a storm. Booking is a breeze with Tiffany! 🙂

23 de August de 2022Fished two days with Redrum, one on LaNueva and one on 19’s toy. It was a great experience that started with a bang! First day produced a Blue Marlin early... read more in the morning on the one and only bite of the day! The second day was action packed, but the sea was extremely choppy and it was storming due to the hurricane. The port was going to close early in the day, however the crew still produced and with a quick limit of dorado the crew brought us back safe and sound. I have to mention it was on our return to the dock that I did have some trouble with the receptionist or maybe someone they would call their manager. As long as you stay clear from her you could have a great time! But if you do run into her your experience could go from a 5 out of 5 to just a 4! She is nasty, but the owner was an extremely nice guy who seemed genuine.
